Central Park Sightseeing: Horse and Carriage Tours Header Image

There is nothing more romantic or charming than seeing the iconic Central Park from the back of a horse-drawn carriage. The feeling of stepping back a little in time is one never to be forgotten.

Start your ride at the entrance of Central Park. Ride pass the Balto statue and see the sculpture of the lead sled dog that raced to deliver medicing, saving the children of Alaska from diptheria. Stop at Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, overlooking the lake in Central Park. Ride past Strawberry Fields, John Lennon’s beloved memorial, Wollman Rink, the Carousel, Bandshell, Sheep Meadow and Tavern on the Green. Pause at the Bow Bridge for picturesque photos. Don’t forget your camera!

Departure Location: 59th Street and 6th Avenue. Show your voucher to the carriages with the “Central Park Sightseeing” sign.

Operating Hours: Tours operate from 10 am – 4 pm and 6 pm – 10 pm.

Duration: The short ride lasts 15-20 minutes. The long ride lasts 45-50 minutes.

Price is per carriage, not per person. Each carriage holds up to 4 adults, or 3 adults and 2 kids, ages 11 and under.
